Consignment Agreement for Queens’ Closet

I, ___________________  (hereafter referred to as “Consignor”) do hereby attest that I agree to all of the following conditions of consignment with the Queens’ Closet.

The Queens’ Closet will receive consignments Wednesday through Saturday by appointment only from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.  Please call (253) 475-9576 for an appointment.   A $5.00 fee to establish new contracts will be deducted from your account.

Preparing consigned items – Items must be in perfect condition, odor free/laundered/pressed/in-season/ in-style/on hangers and ready for display/sale before they are accepted by the Queens’ Closet.  Queens’ Closet does not accept natural furs, perfumes and fragrances, designer imitations of any kind or watches.

Pricing of consigned items will be set by the Queens’ Closet.  Usual pricing of consigned merchandise is approximately 25% to 35% of the original retail price.  New items with retail hangtags still attached will be priced up to 50% of the original price.

Consignment Period – The consignment period is 90 days with 25% markdowns every 30 days.

Sales/Promotions Markdowns – We reserve the right to run special sales or promotions as we feel necessary in order to move merchandise (i.e. – end of season clearances or other special sales.)  

FYI – We are a small store and constantly need to make room for new consignment merchandise.  We prefer consignors donate any unsold items. * If you wish to retrieve items, we ask that you do so before or at the end of the consignment period.  CONSIGNORS WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR PULLING ALL ITEMS TO BE PICKED UP.   If you do not contact us or make arrangements to retrieve your unsold items before then, the items will become the property of Queens’ Closet.  We reserve the right to donate these items if we choose.

Liability – Queens’ Closet does not assume responsibility for, or insure against any losses due to fire, theft, water damage, donation or other causes.

Payments of consigned items -   The consignor will receive 40% of the sale price, and the Queens’ Closet will retain 60% of the sale price.  Checks totaling over $25.00 for items sold may be picked up at the store by the consignor on the 10th of the following month.  Store credit may be used at any time for items sold.  Any fees payable (ie. $3.00 ironing fees, etc.) will be deducted as the item is sold.
